Oktoberfest Meets Illusion: At Oktoberfest, the WOW Museum Munich not only celebrates, but also a change of perspective and in true style.

In September, Munich is transformed into a place full of traditional costumes and gingerbread hearts and it becomes clear: Oktoberfest has begun.  While celebrations are underway atTheresienwiese, an unusual change of pace awaits in the heart of Munich, offering a chance to perceive the world in a different light. Once again this year, the WOW Museum is celebrating the lively atmosphere in Munich. Visitors in traditional Bavarian clothing receive a 15% discount at the museum ticket office and that includes up to the last Oktoberfest day on October 5, 2025.

Illusions instead of roller coasters

If you feel the need to extend your impressions of Oktoberfest after a day on the festival grounds, you will find the WOW Museum Munich as a perfect alternative for this. Amidst mirror worlds, optical illusions, and interactive stations, reality and perception blur in the museum.

The museum offers a wide range of artworks, including slanted floors and endless patterns. The works of art are intended to encourage visitors to experience art and history in a new way and to discover new perspectives in a playful way. Numerous photo spots, including the five free photo stations at the museum, round off the experience.

Traditional Bavarian clothing as an art form

The reason of the campaign is, on the one hand, the world's largest folk festival and, on the other hand, the creative connection between traditional clothing and deception. In collaboration with Safaa Modelsalon, which specializes in the production of artistically embroidered dirndls, among other things, the museum aims to demonstrate that tradition an innovation are not only complementary. To this purpose, Safaa lent her dirndl to the musuem with the intention of drawing attention to a change in perspective. Patterns are not only used as decorative elements. They are an expression of identity, craftsmanship, and perspective.

The Campaign

The Oktoberfest promotion at the museum runs until October 5, 2025. The discount is only valid for visitors wearing traditional Bavarian clothing at the ticket office. The promotion does not apply during school holidays, on public holidays, or for group reservations, and cannot be combined with other discounts.

Whatremains, therefore, is an invitation to everyone who fancies a bite ofconfusion and lots of amazement, very much in the style of Oktoberfest.
