When the doors of numerous cultural and music venues stay open late into the night, it’s that time of year again: The Long Night of Music is just around the corner. On May 9th, the organizers are inviting music lovers to concerts, dance, and theater for the 25th time. The Long Night of Music is one of the absolute highlights of Munich’s cultural scene and will once again transform the city into a unique musical spectacle this year.

One ticket for nearly 400 concerts

The best part of the Long Night of Music: With just one wristband, you get access to numerous venues and institutions. The ticket not only grants you entry to the participating venues, but also allows you to ride the shuttle buses that will take you comfortably all across Munich.

Pre-sale usually begins several weeks in advance, and it’s worth buying tickets early because demand is high. Walk-in visitors can try their luck at the box office, but should expect tickets to sell out quickly. The participating venues also serve as pre-sale ticket outlets.

WOW Museum Munich: Sound Art Meets Illusions

A special highlight is the WOW Museum Munich. Following the huge enthusiasm and positive response it received during the Long Night of Munich Museums, the WOW Museum is now participating in the Long Night of Music for the first time. Rather than a traditional exhibition, you can expect an interactive experience full of optical illusions and surprising effects—perfect for children and adults looking for something out of the ordinary. In addition to the exhibition, you can look forward to a specifically curated sound art program. The city guide “Herz & Heimat Bayern” also recommends the WOW Museum Munich and offers further inspiration for experiences in the city.

The program at the WOW Museum Munich: WOW Museum x The Fabric Of Sound

As part of the Long Night of Music, the WOW Museum in Munich transforms into an experimental sound space. The duo SEWICIDE takes center stage, blending delicate pop melodies with bass, vocals, and electronic elements. Blurring the lines between pop, performance, and sound art, the WOW Museum becomes both a stage and a lab where sound, body, and space enter into dialogue with one another. Behind SEWICIDE are Stephanie Müller—also known as Rag*Treasure from beißpony / Chicks On Speed Records—and Klaus Erika Dietl. Together, they are part of the international collective ALLIGATOR GOZAIMASU.

Show times:
20:30 PM (approx. 20–25 minutes)
21:30 PM (approx. 20–25 minutes)
23:00 PM (approx. 20–25 minutes)
00:30 PM (approx. 20–25 minutes)
There will be short breaks between sets.

Please note that the number of attendees on the evening of the event is limited. Entry will be restricted to prevent overcrowding in the museum. Admission is only permitted with the wristbands provided by Münchner Kultur GmbH, which will be available before and during the event.

Perfectly organized through the night

Thanks to the cooperation with MVG, you’ll have excellent access to public transportation: Shuttle buses connect all central stations and run at regular intervals. Your tickets also serve as transit passes, so you can move between venues with ease. Using public transportation makes the Long Night of Music not only convenient but also eco-friendly.

The event is organized by Münchner Kultur GmbH, which puts together an impressive program every year. With around 400 concerts and numerous additional activities such as guided tours, performances, and dance classes, there is something for every age and taste.

A night filled with music, art, and inspiration

The Long Night of Music in Munich is a must-see for anyone who wants to experience culture in a different way. Whether with friends, family, or on your own, this special night demonstrates just how vibrant and diverse Munich’s cultural scene is.
