overview
description
Welcome to the WOW Museum Munich! WOW — we are a museum with a difference. Here, illusion meets interaction, perspective meets emotion. Our goal is to inspire people of all ages to be amazed, curious, and thoughtful. If you’re passionate about marketing, the dynamic day-to-day life of a museum, interactive formats, cultural education, and a warm, close-knit working environment, we’d love to meet you!
Your tasks:
At the WOW Museum, we value people who think proactively and contribute where their strengths, interests, and enthusiasm lie.
Marketing & Communication
- Support the areas of corporate communications, content marketing, and visitor communication.
- Assist with the creation, design, and maintenance of educational, communication, and marketing content.
- Contribute to projects, events, and cooperation initiatives (e.g. third-party platforms, process optimization, external client events, etc.).
- Communicate confidently with our visitors by email and phone in German and English — in a friendly, clear, and customer-oriented manner.
- Support the creation and maintenance of educational texts and materials.
Museum Operations & Organization
- Handle administrative and organizational tasks in the office, including the structured management of data, documents, and internal communication.
- Be a true guest enthusiast and use your open personality and positive attitude to make visitors feel welcome.
- Occasionally and enthusiastically support our staff team at the ticket desk, in visitor supervision, and during guided tours — including occasional weekends and public holidays.
- Provide technical support with minor issues and challenges.
- Potentially assist with orders for the museum shop and everyday supplies.
- Lead and conduct group programs such as guided tours, birthday parties, and workshops.
Basic requirement:
You have a natural talent for delighting and engaging guests? Then you’re exactly right for us!
- At least a basic commercial/business qualification or equivalent professional experience OR a completed or ongoing degree in business, marketing, art, culture, education/visitor engagement, media, tourism, or a related field.
- You’re happy to roll up your sleeves, get involved, and are eager to learn new things.
- A positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and a genuine enjoyment of life.
- Friendly, customer-oriented, and eager to learn.
- You work independently, in a structured manner, and take responsibility for your tasks.
- You’re comfortable with technology, curious about new things, and not afraid to do some research when needed.
- Confident using common design, office, and collaboration tools, particularly Adobe InDesign, Canva, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent German communication skills (native-level or fluent) and good English skills.
